Wheat Sevai / Wheat based semiya / Vermicelli - 1cup
Onions - 1, chopped intothin slices
Oil
Mustard seeds
Urad dal and Channa dal - 1 tsp each'
Coriander leaves for garnish
Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai
- Add urad dal and channa dal for tempering
- In a second or two add few mustard seeds
- when it crackles add chopped onions and saute
- when they are translucent add the roasted sevai and saute for a while
- add salt and a cup of hot water - let it cook well in the water
- keep stirring to avoid burning
- when the water is almost evaporated, add coriander leaves and turn off the gas
- you may also use grated fresh coconut for garnish
