Bread Besan Toast


Ingredients:


  • Bread slice cut into triangles
  • Besan / Kadalamaavu / chickpea flour - 1 cup
  • Finely chopped Onion - 1
  • Finely chopped Tomato - 1 (small)
  • Ginger garlic and chili paste (optional)
  • Chopped Coriander leaves
  • Ajwain /Omam / Carrom seeds - a pinch 
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Chili powder 
  • Water to form the batter 
  • Oil to toast
  • Tomato Sauce /Ketchup

Instructions:

  • Mix all the mentioned ingredients with besan to form batter with thin consistency according to your taste preference
  • Heat tawa and smear oil on it
  • Take a triangular piece of bread, spread the batter on one side of it and place it on the hot tawa 
  • While the besan side is getting toasted, apply the batter on the top side 
  • Brush oil if required and cook both sides by flipping few times till its toasted well
  • Avoid high flame which might burn the toast
  • Serve hot when done along with Tomato Sauce /Ketchup
