Ingredients:
Onion – 1, chopped
Green chilies – chopped
Tomato – 1, chopped
Channa dal – 1 tbsp
Roasted Groundnuts – few
Oil, Mustard and Cumin seeds for tempering
Salt and chilli powder for taste
Water
Instructions:
- · Heat oil in a pan and add channa dal, groundnuts, mustard and cumin seeds
- · When the mustard splitters add chopped onion and green chilies – saute
- · Add tomato, salt and chili powder – cook till the tomato is mushy
- · Add the Oats, mix and saute for few minutes and then add enough quantity water for the oats to cook
- · Oats upma is ready to serve
- · Optional – add chopped coriander leaves and squeeze few drops of lemon juice and mix
