Ingredients:
Radish / mooli – grated
Green chilies
Ginger – chopped into tiny pieces or grated
Turmeric powder, Red chili powder and Salt
Oil
Mustard seeds
Wheat flour – kneaded into dough as usual. (Wheat flour, 2 tbsp salt, water, 1 tsp oil)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds
- When it splitters add chopped green chilies and ginger
- Immediately add chili powder and turmeric powder as well – mix it and add grated radish
- Add salt and mix well – let it cook covered for few mins till radish is done
- Add chopped coriander leaves and let it cool down
- Make big sized balls with the dough, roll into a small circle first
- Apply oil on one side of the rolled circle, place a tbsp of cooled radish in the centre, bring the edges of the circle together covering the stuff inside to make a round parcel
- Seal the top and remove the extra dough from the top and flatten the ball of dough
- Dust it with wheat flour and roll it into round shaped parathas
- Make parathas on the tawa by applying oil / ghee on both sides
- Cook in medium flame so that it doesn’t get burnt
- Serve hot with Raita and Pickle.
