Spring Onion Sabzi

Ingredients:

Spring Onions – chopped (onion and greens separately)
Garlic and Green Chili paste
Tomato – chopped
Oil, mustard seeds, Salt to taste
Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Coriander powder and Kaala Goda masala / garam masala
Chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  • ·         Heat oil in a Pan, add mustard seeds
  • ·         When it splitters add Garlic and Green chili paste, sauté
  • ·         Add chopped spring onions (keep the greens aside), sauté and add turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and goda masala
  • ·         Add spring onion greens, mix well and cook covered for 5 mins
  • ·         Now add chopped tomatoes, salt, mix well and let it cook covered till done
  • ·         When done add chopped coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice – mix and serve hot with chapathi/roti/rice (optional)
