Boneless
chicken – ½ inch pieces each
1 Potato
– grated
1
tomato – chopped into tiny pieces
1
carrot – grated
Spring
onion greens – chopped
½ cup
finely chopped cabbage
Vinegar
– 1 tbsp
Dry
Coconut powder – 1 tsp
Water
Pepper
powder/chili powder, Salt to taste and a pinch of sugar
Corn
flour / corn starch – 1 tbsp mixed with little of cold water and form lumpless
paste
Instructions:
- o Take 1 litre of water and let it boil in a saucepan
- o In the meantime chop, grate and keep all ingredients ready
- o When it boils add all chopped ingredients except spring onion greens
- o Add vinegar, salt, sugar, dry coconut powder – let it boil well for 15 to 25 mins
- o Later add the corn flour paste to it mix well and also add pepper powder, adjust salt and let it boil for another few mins
- o Add chopped spring onion greens and turn off the burner after 2 mins
- o Serve hot on a chilly night
- o Optional – can add pasta along with chopped ingredients (or) beaten egg into the soup while stirring it vigourosly. Serve hot with butter fried bread crumbs or fried noodles
