Dahi Vada

Ingredients:

Urad dal – Soak 2 cups overnight and make a smooth fluffy paste
1 inch ginger
Green chilies
Cumin seeds
Pepper powder / chili powder
Fresh Coriander leaves
Chill and fresh Yogurt, Chili powder, Cumin powder, Chat masala, salt and Sugar (no measurements given since everyone have their own preferences like few may like it sweet, few spicy so adjust it as you want it to be)


Instructions:
  • ·         Make a paste of green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger, cumin and pepper
  • ·         Add it to the urad dal paste along with salt – make fritters (vadas)
  • ·         If you smaller ones it easily soaks the curd and can eat in one small bites
  • ·         Now once the vadas are cool we shall soak it in yogurt preparation
  • ·         For yogurt preparation take yogurt/thick curd in a mixer jar, add chili powder, cumin powder, salt, sugar and chat masala – run for few mins
  • ·         Pour the yogurt preparation in a serving tray, place the vadas in it, garnish with chopped coriander leaves, sprinkle chili powder, cumin powder and chat masala – let it soak for 10 mins atleast and serve
