Samosa

Ingredients:
Maida
Rava / Sooji
Salt
(Make dough of the 3 ingredients and keep it aside)
Potato
Green Peas
Onion
Groundnut
Green chilies
Coriander leaves
Mustard, Cumin seeds and Curry leaves for tempering
Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Coriander powder, Salt and a pinch of sugar.

Steps:
  • Pressure cook Potatoes and green peas (if you are using soaked green peas pressure cook it seperately coz it will take longer than potatoes)
  • Cut the cooked potatoes roughly into small pieces
  • Heat oil, temper with mustard and cumin seeds, and when it splitters add finely curry leaves, chopped green chilies, groundnut, onion and saute
  • Add Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Coriander powder, Salt and a pinch of sugar
  • When the masalas are mixed well add the potatoes and green peas
  • Saute well and take care that potatoes doesnt get completely mashed
  • Add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and keep it aside
  • Now spread the already prepared dough into round shapes with the help of maida for dusting
  • Cut the round into half and make 2 cones of both the halves
  • Fill the cone with potato filling and seal the third side 
  • Make such cones and once done deep fry it in oil
Garam garam Samosa ready!
Samosa can be served with Sweet tomato sauce, Green chutney, Chole (even prepared as Samosa chat with chole), Kadi (in few places like Nagpur, Jabalpur, etc), Fried salted green chilies and Sev (Maharastrian style), Dahi chutney, etc.,
