Ingredients:
- Raw Banana - 1, sliced into round pieces
- Besan / Kadala maavu - 4 tbsp
- Rice Flour / Arisi maavu -2 tbsp
- Ajwain / Omam - a pinch (optional)
- Turmeric powder
- Chili powder
- Salt
- Hing / Asafoetida powder - a pinch
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- The Green bananas can be sliced length wise as well, but since i was just preparing with one banana and will be easy to serve my kid. you may peel the outer skin so that it doesn't get caught in the mouth while eating
- Keep the slices in water as it might get dark with exposure to air
- Now mix the above mentioned ingredients to form the bhajji mix/batter with little water
- Heat oil in a kadai, pat dry the banana slices, dip it in the batter and deep fry in the oil
- Fry both sides till they are crispy brown but take care not to burn them
- Serve hot with Coconut chutney. I served with tomato ketchup as my baby likes it that way.
