Dry Prawns Masala



Ingredients:


Dry Prawns – 100 g
Oil
Mustard and cumin seeds
Onions – 2, big, chopped
Tomato – 1, chopped
Green Chilies
Ginger-garlic paste
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Chili powder – as per your preference
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
Kaala Goda masala – 4 tbsp and adjust according to your preference
Salt

Instructions:

  • ·         Soak the dry prawns in water for 2 minutes
  • ·         Heat oil in a kadai and fry the soaked prawns with turmeric powder, chili powder and salt – keep aside
  • ·         In the same kadai, heat oil again and add mustard and cumin seeds
  • ·         When it splitters add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste
  • ·         When it gets translucent, add the coriander powder and kaala masala, along with chopped tomatoes – saute
  • ·         let it cook till tomatoes are cooked and mushy
  • ·         Add the fried prawns, mix and adjust the taste and consistency
  • ·         Turn off the burner after 5 minutes
  • ·         Serve along with steamed rice and chicken/fish curry
