Aloo Posto


Ingredients:


Potatoes – 3, cubed and par boiled
Khus-khus / poppy seeds (roasted)
Onion – 1, finely sliced
Garlic cloves – 4 to 5
Red Chilies
Mustard oil / Sarso ka thel
Mustard seeds
Salt and Turmeric powder
Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions:

  • ·         Soak roasted poppy seeds in water for ½ hour
  • ·         Later coarse grind soaked poppy seeds, red chilies and garlic – keep aside
  • ·         In a pan heat mustard oil
  • ·         Add Mustard seeds, Red Chilies and sliced Onion. Fry until golden brown
  • ·         Then add Salt, Turmeric powder and the boiled potato cubes - fry for few mins
  • ·         Add poppy seeds paste to it, mix and cook covered for 5 to 10 mins
  • ·         Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves and serve
