Mooli Paratha / Radish Paratha - Punjabi style


Ingredients:


Radish / mooli – grated
Green chilies, Ginger, Garlic and Coriander leaves - coarse paste 
Turmeric powder, Red chili powder, Garam masala and Salt to taste 
Ajwain - optional 
Oil / Ghee 
Wheat flour 

Instructions:

  • Take all the above mentioned ingredients in a kneading bowl and make firm dough by slightly adding few drops of water 
  • Do the above only if you are gonna make the paranthas immediately or else the dough will become moist as the radish will start leaving it's juice 
  • Alternatively, add salt to the grated radish and keep aside for till it leaves it's juice 
  • later you may strain the juice, add all the ingredients to the radish and knead with its own strained juice without adding water 
  • When the dough is ready, make small balls, roll into circles with the help of oil or dusting with wheat flour and cook on both sides on a hot tawa by brushing with oil or ghee on the sides 
  • Serve hot with Green chutney or curd
