Javvarisi
/ Sabudana / Sago (wash, drain and keep aside for atleast ½ hour)
Brown
sugar / Jaggery
Elaichi
/ Cardamom – 2 (crushed)
Dry
fruits (Cashew nuts, Almonds, Dry grapes) – slightly fried in Ghee
Small,
thin pieces of fresh coconut (optional) – 5 to 6
Milk
Instructions:
- · Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan
- · Add the soaked Sago into it and cook for 10 mins
- · Then add crushed jaggery cubes into the boiling water and keep stirring till it reaches the needed thickness/consistency
- · But make sure the sago isn’t overcooked in the process since they will get dissolved in that case
- · Also add crushed elaichi, and coconut pieces – Let it boil in low flame for 2 mins
- · Turn off the burner and let it cool
- · Add Milk once its cool (to make sure the milk doesn’t curdle)
- · Add Dry fruits and Keep it in the Fridge to serve cold or else add the Dry fruits as garnish just before serving
