Dal Kichdi in Microwave (First microwave recipe)



  • ·         Soak 2 cups of rice and 1 cup Toor dal together for half an hour
  • ·         Take a big microwave safe bowl, add soaked rice and dal to it along with salt and turmeric powder
  • ·         Add twice the quantity of water, cover with microwavable lid
  • ·         Cook at High for min of 12 mins
  • ·         Meanwhile, heat oil in a small vessel to prepare tadka of mustard seeds, chopped garlic  and curry leaves
  • ·         Once done let it stand inside for few mins, take it out and add the tadka, mix well and serve steaming hot
