- · Soak 2 cups of rice and 1 cup Toor dal together for half an hour
- · Take a big microwave safe bowl, add soaked rice and dal to it along with salt and turmeric powder
- · Add twice the quantity of water, cover with microwavable lid
- · Cook at High for min of 12 mins
- · Meanwhile, heat oil in a small vessel to prepare tadka of mustard seeds, chopped garlic and curry leaves
- · Once done let it stand inside for few mins, take it out and add the tadka, mix well and serve steaming hot
