Avaraikkai Poriyal (broad beans)


Ingredients:


Broad Beans – cut into small pieces
Chopped Onion
Curry leaves
Sambar masala / sabzi masala
Fresh grated coconut scraps
salt


Steps:
  • §  Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard and cumin seeds and when they splitter add chopped onion and curry leaves –sauté
  • §  Add beans and sauté for few mins. Then add sambar masala, salt, half cup water – mix well and cook covered
  • §  Add little water on lid also to avoid beans from getting burnt.
  • §  Once its cooked add the grated coconut scraps mix well and cover cook for another few mins before turning off the burner. Garnish with coriander leaves.
