Carrots - 2 grated
Onion - 1 chopped into small pieces
Ginger-garlic paste
Soya sauce, Green chili sauce and vinegar
Salt, Chili powder, Pepper powder

(For the roll)
Whole wheat flour, salt, little roasted rava - knead it with warm water as usual and leave it for 10 to 15 mins. Add little oil and knead it with hands to that the oil is mixed well.

Steps:

  • Heat oil, add mustard seeds and when they splitters add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste. Saute for few mins.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and grated carrot, saute till they are half cooked
  • Add Soya sauce, Green chili sauce and vinegar...along with salt, pepper powder and chili powder. saute for few mins. keep it aside.
  • Now take the atta, roll into circular shapes as we usually roll for making rotis.
  • Later cut the circle into half which can make two rolls.
  • apply oil on the surface of cut dough, add the veg filling, and roll it. I sealed the edges so that it doesnt take too much of oil inside and fry the filling also.
  • Deep fry the rolls till they turn brown on all sides equally.
  • Serve with tomato sauce and salads.... makes a wonderful starter.
