Maida – ¾ cup
Cocoa powder – ¾ cup
Sugar – 1 cup (powder it in mixer jar along with 2 elaichi)
Butter / Oil – ¾ cup
Eggs – 3
Salt – ¼ teaspoon
Baking powder – ¼ teaspoon
Vanilla Essence – 1 teaspoon
Dry fruits – Pista, badam, kaju and dry grapes

Steps:
  • ·         Add the wet ingredients first to mix it. I added the eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla essence, butter / oil into a food processor with kneader and ran it till its fluffily mixed
  • ·         Take a mixing bowl , add maida, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder – mix well
  • ·         Add it to the food processor and run for few minutes till the cake batter is formed with no lumps at all.
  • ·         Prepare the baking tray – grease it with butter / oil and dust it with maida. Remove any excess maida.
  • ·         Add the cake batter to the mould. Always fill only half the tray.
  • ·         Add broken dry fruits on the batter – its ready now
  • ·         Pre heat the OTG to 170 degrees both top and bottom for ten minutes
  • ·         Keep the baking tray inside the OTG and maintain 170 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes
  • ·         Once done remove the tray and let it cool down
  • ·         Once cool remove it from the tray and decorate it
  • ·         Do the icing/decoration as required and refrigerate it

As it was the first time I baked the chocolate cake in the OTG i dint do the icing, it was only on trail basis.
