Palak Creamy Soup

Ingredients:

Palak - 1/2 bunch (chopped)
Onion - 1 big (chopped)
Butter
Corn flour + Milk
Salt - accordingly to taste
Sugar - a pinch
Pepper powder
Cream
Fried pieces of bread in butter

Steps:

  1. Heat butter in a kadai, saute the onion till it turns brownish, keep it aside and then saute the chopped palak till its cooked. Keep it aside to cool
  2. Once cool, add both the onion and palak to a mixer jar and make puree of it.
  3. Add water to the puree - heat it after adding salt and sugar
  4. Mix a teaspoon of corn flour with 50 or 100 ml of milk (you can add 100 ml of milk if you dont want to add more water to the soup or vice versa)
  5. Add the corn flour + milk to the palak puree and let it boil for few mins before turning off the burner
  6. Heat oil or butter, fry cubed bread pieces to make bread crumbs
  7. Serve hot... And while serving add the cream on the top, sprinkle pepper powder and add the bread crumbs. (I dint had cream or bread when i prepared it. I also dint had pepper powder so i had to roughly powder the pepper corns i had).
The taste was so creamy and yummy that i really enjoyed having the healthy soup.
