Moong dal Laddu

One of the very simple sweet recipes........ The only sweet i would prepare this diwali....

Ingredients:

Moong dal / Paasi paruppu - 2 cups
Jaggery - 2 cups
Cardamom - 3
Melted Ghee 

Steps:

1. Heat a pan and roast 2 cups of moong dal till its aroma comes up and it slightly turns color. Keep aside to cool.
2. Break the jaggery down, run it in a mixie to make powder of it.
3. Also run the cardamom in mixie to form a powder of it or else can simply crush it in a stone pestle.
4. Now make powder of the roasted moong dal in the mixie as well.
5. Take a large plate or tray, add the powdered moong dal, measure and add 2 cups of powdered jaggery and the powdered cardamom.
6. Mix well, adding melted ghee till the time it reaches a consistency enough to hold the shape of a laddu.
7. Make laddus out of the entire mixture and store it.
