Paniyaram (Tamil) is a simple dish as well.... with the same dosa / idly batter.
This can be prepared plainly with the same batter or even added few ingredients to form different kinds of spicy as well as sweet paniyarams.
This one in the picture is a simple and plain paniyaram. You would of course need a Non-stick paniyaram mould to prepare this.... Nowadays this is commonly seen in Super markets known as Appe Maker.

* Heat the non-stick mould, add drop of oil in each cup and spread it well to coat the walls.
* Add the dosa batter till it reaches 3/4th of the cup.
* Add drops of oil around the cooking paniyarams
* Let the burner be in simmer through out the process or else it will burn the paniyaram even before the interior is cooked.
* Turn over the paniyaram to cook the other side with a spoon. Try not to disfigure them. In non stick it shouldn't be a problem, also because of the oil.
* Once both the sides are cooked remove it from the mould and Serve with Chutneys and Sambar.
