I know what you are thinking.... Medhu Vada doesn't look like this, its round shaped with a hole in the middle. That's right but with the same batter I prepared in different shape and size.
Ingredients:
- Urad dal - 2 cups
(Soaked overnight and made batter by grinding it without or very less water)
- Green chillies - finely chopped
- Ginger - very finely chopped(optional)
- Coriander leaves and curry leaves (finely chopped)
- Jeera / Cumin seeds
- Chilli powder
- Pepper powder
- Salt

Curd : Add Chilli powder, salt, Cumin powder and Chat masala to the curd to make a chatpata side dish for medhu vada.
Also can soak the medhu vadas in more of such curd along with sugar to make Dahi Vada or Thayir Vadai (Tamil)
Steps:
* Mix the urad dal batter with green chillies, ginger, jeera, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, coriander leaves and curry leaves.
* Heat oil in a kadai and add the batter mix in the desired shape. I just made small pieces coz that was easy for me to make.
Serve it with the Chutney and Chatpata curd. It tastes awesome......
