Green Chutney


Hi All, I prepared this chutney to use in various dishes with slight variations. So this is kind of base chutney which I prefer to store at least for a week in the fridge/even longer in freezer. You may add curd/Cumin powder/Chat masala/Sugar/tamarind pulp and coconut etc as per your taste preference in various dishes while preparing.It can be used as side dish for various snacks/fritters, momos, idli/dosa, uttappa, sandwich /frankie spread, fried/tandoori recipes etc.,

Ingredients:

  • Washed Coriander leaves - 1 cup (along with stalk)
  • Mint leaves - 1/2 cup (optional - I made it without mint)
  • Garlic cloves - 3 or 4 
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Green chilies as per taste preference
  • Jeera / Cumin seeds 
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice for tanginess

Instructions:

  • Add all the ingredients to the mixer jar and make a smooth paste with little water and store it in an air tight container
