Its the Healthy food series I posting today, with Eggs being the first on the list!
Eggs:
Thats because Egg whites are loaded in proteins, the yolk is rich in vitamins and
minerals. Eggs also contain choline, which is considered to be brain food. Studies have shown that if you eat eggs for breakfast, you will end up consuming
lesser calories throughout the day! Its that cool...?? So have an egg for breakfast in any of your favorite form like boiled eggs, omlet, scrambled eggs, fried eggs or even egg burji for indian style.
Yoghurt / Curd:
Yes! Curd can be taken for breakfast or snack as well. Thats because it helps digestion, improves immunity and also is good for skin. It has more of calcium as well. Can add any fruits or flavour to the curd as well or simply have with sugar or salt.
Beans / Rajma:
Its good for heart and great for diabetes. Rajma is packed with fibre which lowers cholesterol. Also it contains proteins, carbohydrates, magnesium, potassium etc., A Simply steamed beans with salt would be great for breakfast or evening snack for Health watchers.
Sweet Potatoes:
It is said that sweet potato contains vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, calcium and potassium, along with beta carotene which is good for health. Its recommended to substitute sweet potato for normal potato.
Dry fruits / Nuts:
Yes they have high fat content but they are all good fats which makes it excellent for heart. In small doses they lower cholesterol and help reduce weight. Varieties are : Almonds, Peanuts, Walnuts, etc.,
Berries:
Berries are loaded with antioxidants, extremely low in calories, high in water content and fibre which makes them great for diabetes.
Sprouts:
They are a really good source of Proteins and Vitamin C and easy to digest as well.
Pomegranate:
Rich in antioxidants, help fight cancer and Alzheimer's. Also protects arteries, lowers cholesterol and BP.
Bananas:

Apples:
Rich in number of Minerals and the fibre Pectin which helps digestion and reduce cholesterol.
