Jatpat Salad

Ingredients:

Cucumber – chopped
Carrot – grated
Tomato – chopped
Methi leaves
Coriander leaves
Oil, mustard seeds, salt, chili powder
Groundnut powder (optional)

Steps:

Ø  Take a salad bowl and mix all top 5 ingredients, also groundnut powder if you want it
Ø  Heat oil in a small vessel, add mustard seeds and when it splitters add ½ tsp chili powder and immediately turn off the burner
Ø  Add the oil to the salad bowl along with required quantity salt – mix well and serve

Ø  If you want to eat it later it can be stored in refrigerator but  without adding salt as it will start leaving water. Only before serving it add salt. Can be served chilled as well.
