Poha


Ingredients:

  • Poha (Flattened rice - aval in tamil)
  • Onion - 1 small sized (chopped into thin slices)
  • Potato - 1 medium sized potato (cubed into small pieces)
  • Groundnut - 1 handfull
  • Green chillies - chopped 
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Lemon - Half
Steps:
1.     Wash the poha with water, drain it quickly and keep aside,
2.     Heat kadai, add oil and when it is hot add mustard seeds and onion
3.     Fry the onion and green chillies till its crispy  and brownish 
4.     Now add the cubed potatoes as well and let it fry till they are half done
5.     Add the groundnuts and while mixing it well add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt
6.     Now add the poha and mix well untill it turns yellow in colour and is mixed well with the ingredients
7.     Leave it for 2 mins in the covered kadai
8.     Mix it once, switch off the stove 
9.     Garnish with Coriander leaves and squeeze the lemon juice in it and serve hot !
